Fiestas SFF07
We like to party, that’s obvious; our festival takes its contents
seriously but also wants to be fun, with good concerts, good parties
¡and good times above all! ¡Last years closing party kicked
ass! The venue, La Casa del Guarda was full packed for the stuPEFACTOS
concert and the other band that sneaked in. We’re so sorry we
cannot go back there this year because the good old Casa del Guarda
caught fire. We’d like to send our support to the crew that is
trying to put it back on track, they deserve it, it’s a key
location for our generation’s cultural life in Donosti.
This tear, we’ll warm up the
engines with a concert the Saturday before the festival kicks off, a
live band and party on Friday, and BBQ and big party on Saturday the 9.

E-GAZTEA SURFILM FESTIBAL PARTY
at Doka (Donostiako Café Antzokia,
antiguo Kandela (click for area map)
Concert: Andrew Kidman at midnight and …
ELEKTRORADIOGRAMA (DJ Arka) vs.BOOM SHAKA LAKA (Dj Makala) until 05:30 in the morning.
Besides presenting the exhibition and bringing on his first film Litmus, a classic,
Andrew Kidman will play some tunes for us. Starting as a joke, he founded
The Val Dusty experiment,
the band he composed Litmus soundtrack with. And we say as a joke
because they signed themselves in for the “open mic”
night at a bar in Byron Bay, so one afternoon, they came up with some
songs for the occasion. They went on stage and they almost got kicked
out, after all that cow noise and their unprofessional out of tune
music. A bit more experienced now, Kidman will play some mellow tunes
on his guitar for us.
¡What could we say about
Makala!
for those who don’t know him we ‘ll say he likes them long,
and he is the one who started the classic “Surf Festas” at
Ketarri back in the days. He is part of Linbur with Igor Eizagirre, he
makes and plays music, and he also plays records.
Reggae, dub, latin, electro, ¡everything to make you feel good and dance cool!
