Our story revolves around one incredible, manmade behemoth of a wave but more importantly the lives it has affected from the 50s until present day.
Through out the film we meet a cast of characters who have made, ruined, or lost their lives over a common infatuation. Comprised of over thirty interviews, never before seen archival footage ranging from the 50s to the 90s, as well as modern day high def cinematography, Dirty Old Wedge covers the whole history of the Wedge and the many generations who have dedicated their lives to riding it while at the same time touching on the history of bodysurfing, surfing, boogie boarding, and the creation of the blackball flag. A story ripe with compassion, brutality, territorial losses and gains, nostalgia, and new generations.
