Surfilmfestibal’s close relationship with Chile dates back to Surfilmfestibal 4, when director Rodrigo Farías’ brought his film Origen to San Sebastián. Since then the link has only grown stronger, thanks to collaborations with Surfestival Chile and Angel Marín’s conservation non-profit Proplaya, and to the European première of 180° South.

This year we’ve lined up a series of features devoted to Chile’s amazing waves, its brave and dedicated surfers, its fantastic culture and countryside and its spirit of adventure. We’ll be showcasing this vibrant identity through film (The Fisherman’s Son and Viejo Perro), photography (Rodrigo Farías) and projects such as #LobosPorSiempre, spearheaded by Ramón Navarro. And Kepa Acero, who has been traveling around Southamerica wil present his shortfilm surging la Pororoca on sunday 28 at 19.30.

Also, we´re giving away 2 free tickets to Chile among the festibal and #LobosPorSiempre friends. Stay tuned!
