The first is OFFLINE, a selection of the best features and shorts (+5.min. less than 20 min.!!) from 2010/2011 and that make our official Surf Festival programme that will be projected in San Sebastián June 3rd and 4th, and from 8th to 12th. The second, ONLINE, is known as The Short Surf Film Contest and will be ON from june1st to august 31st!!

1. The feature and short films competitions on the official programme of screenings at the Amstel Surfilmfestibal in San Sebastián in June.

In 2010 we became the first surf film festival to award the important sum of €6,000 to the best feature film. This year, we hope to be able to increase this amount in the endeavour to support the filmakers. We will also introduce the category of shorts lasting for under 20 minutes, including the shortlisted works in the official programme of the Amstel Surfilm Festibal 9.

To enter the OFFLINE category you only have to send us a screener of your film before 15th April to our address:

2. The Short Surf Film Contest: our online competition for short films (5 minutes max!). This year we’re putting back the dates, opening the period for presenting works on 10th June, during our Festival in San Sebastián, with the prizes being awarded on 10th September at the Bilbao Festival.

Works can be entered and sent: from 1st June until the end of August 2011.

Screening of shortlisted works and announcement of the winning shorts: at the Amstel Surfilm Bilbao on 10th September 2011.
