If it depended on us, we’d spend all of our time surfing or searching for waves. Of course, we need to work and earn money to fuel our urge for waves. From Mickey Dora and his tricks to finance his jet set nomad lifestyle, to all bad boy surfers’ mishaps, surfing history is marked by people who aim to lead a life without schedules, allowing them to seize the good tide conditions.

We’ve come close to the end! Prize giving stress and the uncertainty of the winners… But that’s not it: we are closing the festival with a story about the tsunami in Chile, told by our friend, Chilean producer Rodrigo Farías. We also bring you Cyrus Sutton and Korduroy TV’s view of the world.

The action packed history of Grajagan surf camp and the first trips to Mentawai on the first Indies Trader.
This shocking documentary film takes us to the beginning of the 70s, the time when G-Land’s magic barrels were discovered. Mike Boyum started the first camp, and hosted surfers including Gerry López and Peter McCabe, who became Speedies’ king.
This powerful film was awarded Best Film at the NY Surf Film Festival in September 2009.
